Founder & Chief Operating Officer
Steve has been involved in the Marine Industry for over 40 years having sailed as Chief Engineer (mainly on tankers) and worked ashore for a number of the world’s most well known ship managers up to Technical Manager level.
Richard George
Managing Director
Richard, coming from a recruitment and languages background (mostly forgotten!), joined the family business in 2004. Richard is one of the Directors of EMCS co-ordinating all matters within the office, looking after key clients and marketing of the company’s services worldwide.
Amanda Green
Marine Coordinator (Labour Supply)/NE Area Representative
Amanda (Mandi) Green has worked on behalf of Sesmarine and subsequently EMCS since 1998 looking after (pretty much all!) matters relating to the company’s provision of riding team labour.
Cheryl Reeday
Administrative Manager
Cheryl Joined EMCS in 2008 bringing with her a background in the education sector which has been invaluable in the organisation and day to day running of the Ship Superintendents’ Course and also acting as our administrative backbone (including in-house finance/book keeping).
Jamie Skillen
Marine Coordinator (Diving & Marine Services)
Jamie’s position before working with EMCS was as a Travel Agent to the Marine Industry, which means (we hope) that he knows his way around the world! Jamie oversees EMCS Diving Services and key clients for labour supply worldwide.
Enrico Stan-Busuioc
EMCS Manager Labour Co-Ordination (Caribbean)
Enrico is a former ship’s Electrical Engineer who manages the Romanian workforce at a Caribbean Shipyard where he has been based since (2002). Like any engineer, Enrico particularly enjoys taking things to pieces and (sometimes!) putting them back together again.
Jimmy Warren
Marine Coordinator (Diving Services)
,,Jimmy joined EMCS in September 2023 to further strengthen our Diving Services team and provide resilience in all areas of the business. Prior to joining EMCS Jimmy spent 7 years working in crew management for an oil major, before taking a 12 month career break to travel.
Jhon Clarete de la Rosa
EMCS Peruvian Coordinator
Jhon trained as an engineering officer and has extensive experience on board ships and in shipyard repairs. He has extensive knowledge of mobile cranes, lifting equipment and personnel management. He is based in the Bahamas as of October 2024 and co-ordinates EMCS Peruvian/South American workforce there. Jhon is passionate about basketball, fishing and swimming. He is even more passionate about on-site safety (no one is allowed to break the rules with Jhon around!) and good quality food!!
Jurgen Rodrigues
EMCS Representative- Central and South America
With over 30 years of experience as an HR Manager in two of the largest shipyard companies in Central America, Jurgen brings unparalleled expertise to the EMCS Team. His extensive background in temporary labour force agency operations in South American countries has honed his ability to deliver efficient, compliant, and flexible labour solutions. EMCS are looking, with Jurgen’s assistance, to continue to grow our labour pool and expertise in Central and South America, and with this client base worldwide. He also brings to the team a Caribbean flair and we hope one day he will be the host of our Christmas Party in Curacao!
Nicky Lowney
Office Assistant
Nicky joined EMCS in November 2024 to support and strengthen our admin team. Nicky moved to the Isle of Man 8 years ago and brings her experience in administration and database management for a UK national charity.
Louise Shaw
Quality Coordinator & Assistant to the Managing Director
Louise joined EMCS International in August 2025, bringing with her over 13 years’ experience from a worldwide ship management company. Over the years, she’s turned her hand to various departments from administration and crew management to P&I, compliance, HR, and supporting the senior management team. Known as a jack of all trades, Louise has travelled far and wide in the name of customer relations — meeting clients, stepping aboard vessels, and connecting with crews from around the globe. She has a genuine passion for working with people from all walks of life and is known for blending professionalism with warmth. At EMCS, Louise brings her adaptability, experience, and enthusiasm to support the team’s international work and ensure clients receive service that’s as personable as it is professional.
