Superintendents Course

Superintendents Course

For some time it has been apparent that there is a shortage of suitably qualified and experienced Ship Superintendents. In response to this, we have established a successful training programme, which we have run since 2006, on the picturesque Isle of Man. The training was originally designed for newly appointed Ship Superintendents, but in recent years it has evolved to provide an excellent foundation in all aspects of ship operations. In recognition of this, the programme has been nominated by Lloyds London as one of the best training programmes of its kind.

Managing Director of EMCS International Limited Steve George says:

“We have been delighted by the response to this course. We are particularly proud to have recently renewed our IMarEST accreditation, as well as the continued endorsements from both the Isle of Man Ship Registry and University College Isle of Man (UCM).  The training calls upon a wealth of experience from our team, who between them have over 200 years’ experience in every aspect of the Shipping Industry. It is this wealth of knowledge and experience which puts this particular training programme at the top of its category. We have had to evolve in the ever changing climate to cover new legislation and codes of practice. We believe we now have an exceptional and comprehensive programme, which is delivered in a rigorous nine day schedule.  We look forward to delivering the next programme”.

The programme runs twice a year (Spring/Autumn) Course fee (tuition only) is £3,500.
